Sunday
School Transition –from Greg Larimore
Sunday, September 5 is the beginning of a new Sunday School quarter
at Garris Chapel. You have seen announcements about the Covenant Class'
study on the Five Love Languages of Teenagers. This is a great study.
We also have three other adult Sunday School classes starting a new
quarter with the David Cook Sunday School Literature.
For the youth, the start of school and a new quarter brings transition
for some. This coming Sunday your child may be moving up. For children
going into Pre-K or those who are 4 years old, we have an active Preschool
class. For those entering 1st grade, the Primary Class if for you. Our
children who just started 3rd Grade, are now Middlers. Rising 6th Graders
are making the move upstairs to join the rest of the Seeker's. And,
finally, the 9th graders join the rest of those in High School.
We are working toward a class for those in college and their 20's, and
more information on that is forthcoming. If you have any questions about
which class might be a good fit for you our your kids, please let me
know. Also, if your child needs help finding a new class, I will be
glad to help them find their way. For those of you who are considering
teaching a Sunday School class or who are not applying their gift of
teaching, we can always use more help.
If you need to contact me with questions, you can call 759-0557 or send
an e-mail to gldma@earthlink.net
Looking forward to seeing you in Sunday School,
Greg Larimore
Prayer
Requests:
-From Karolee: Grandpa isn’t doing so well. His kidneys are shutting
down. They told us last night they would put a stint in this morning,
but now they don’t think that will work so they are going to go
in and do bags. Just please keep him in your prayers.
-Donna Kearney's brother Roscoe is still at Wake Med.
-PJ Miller is having surgery on his hand and arm this morning at Pitt.
