FLOK (For the Love of Kids)
FLOK is our weekend feeding ministry that supports students at Spring Creek Elementary School. This program runs throughout the school year and children are selected by the school counselor. This backpack ministry is supported by donations only. Sharon Cosma is our FLOK coordinator.

Relay for Life / Hope Floats

Garris Chapel participates in the annual Relay for Life that raises funds for the American Cancer Society by making a monetary donation supporting Hope Floats.

Cures for the Colors

Garris Chapel is always an active participant in the annual Walk/Run and other special activities for Cures for the Colors.

Wayne Pregnancy Care Center

We take an active part in filling baby bottles with donations to support the Wayne Pregnancy Care Center.

Operation Christmas Child

Each year, we provide empty shoe boxes for the congregation to fill with Christmas goodies for needy children. In addition to the shoe boxes, the church covers the cost of the shipment. Shoe boxes will usually be available during the month of October since the shipment is due the week before Thanksgiving. We have traditionally sent about 100 boxes.

Wheelchair Ramp Ministry
A team of volunteers that are well trained to build ramps and other items for a person to remain in their own home environment. While the volunteers are working at the construction site, this becomes a mission field to share Christ and His great love. Care for Bereaved Families
Garris Chapel has a wonderful reputation of taking care of grieving families within our church family.

Shiloh Farm Ministry

Our non-profit organization is dedicated to helping people with certain inabilities. Our outreach ministry is to the community, churches, schools, daycares, families, and individuals. Our purpose is to lead individuals to their highest potentials through spiritual and educational programs. Using animals, agriculture, and other services, we provide help to promote healthier mental and emotional stability.  We help individuals overcome obstacles that inhibit a person from achieving his/her goals no matter what his/her incapability.

Mission Work Teams
Annually, the Carolina Cross Connection provides our youth and adults the opportunity to go to western North Carolina each summer to help residents in need. Garris Chapel has sent work teams to other states to assist with natural disasters. Some of our church family have also been on work teams to other parts of the world.

Red Cross Blood Drives

We host a blood drive at least twice a year, usually in January and August. We welcome those in the community to participate in these events.

The Community Soup Kitchen of Goldsboro, Inc.

Providing monetary donations, food that may be pre-cooked or items that can be cooked on site. We also try to assist with paper products throughout the year.

Laundry Love

Laundry Love washes the clothes and bedding of individuals and families who have no income, low income, are homeless, or do not have access to laundry facilities. We brighten the lives of people in our community through love, dignity, and detergent by partnering with diverse groups and laundromats.

Kitty Askins Hospice Center

What is the Kitty Askins Hospice Center? 3HC’s inpatient hospice facility has been described as “… not a nursing home and not a hospital! It is a peaceful and glorious place for persons to be free from pain resulting from their infirmities, to rest, be at peace, to relax, to be supported clinically and emotionally while surrounded by their family and friends, to be cared for in a rather luxurious manner as they prepare to leave this earthly place.” The GC Outreach Team strives to assist the director & staff with special items needed during the year.

The Refuge

Christian retreat and youth ministry campground. We try to assist the leadership with support and supplies that will help keep the doors open to assist people of all ages strengthen their daily walk with Christ. Located on a blessed and beautiful campground in Ayden, NC.

Four Day Movement

The 4 Day Movement is a Divine Assignment in which we can help those in need 4 days at a time. Many of us have resources or are capable of helping those who are hurting, downtrodden, broken, or simply just need a helping hand. Please join us in helping take care of those in need 4 days at a time.

Tommy’s Foundation

Tommy’s Foundation exists to Hear, Love, & Empower the unhoused, as well as those struggling with addiction. Tommy’s Foundation provides the Goldsboro and surrounding communities with resources that can help them exit a life of destruction.

The Mephibosheth Project (MPI)

Our goal is to provide a safe and stable therapeutic environment for Juveniles/Youth that have unfortunately found themselves involved within the judicial system. Our goal also includes the redirecting of their lives toward a path of purpose and productivity, while simultaneously interrupting the unfortunate existence of the school and community pipeline to prison.

Christmas Outreach to Spring Creek Elementary School Children
Each year during the holiday season, we will honor our FLOK kids and families to help them with several items and gift cards to help purchase some needed food items.

We partner with SCE to provide a meal for teachers/staff, typically in May; back to school supplies drive; provide $15 Food Lion gift cards for each of our FLOK families at Thanksgiving; and sponsor children from the SCE angel tree which provides Christmas gifts to children in need.

Assisted Living Facilities
We partner with Goldsboro Assisted Living providing snacks for the residents throughout the year and a special meal at Mother’s Day and Father’s Day for the residents. In the past we have hosted parties for the residents on special occasions, hopefully we can resume this soon. We also minister to our church shut-ins as well, providing them with sweet treats and other items on special holidays throughout the year.

Heart & Soul
